About SnapHire
SnapHire helps people on Long Island and in New York City find a photographer or videographer, see their work and their price, and book and pay in one place.
Anyone who needs photos taken: a family session, headshots, a wedding, a party, a listing, a menu. And the photographers and videographers who want those clients to find them.
Long Island, Suffolk and Nassau, and the five boroughs of New York City. Not every town has a photographer yet. If yours doesn't, request a shoot and we'll tell you straight.
Each photographer sets their own price, by the hour or by package, and you see it before you book. Some photographers confirm your date first, and you pay once they say yes.
The details
Clients pay a 5% service fee, shown before they pay. Photographers pay 8% only when they get paid, and 5% on any part of a booking above $2,000. Payment is by card through Stripe.
SnapHire is run by SnapHire LLC, a New York company in Port Jefferson Station. The app launched on the App Store on August 27, 2026. For now it is iPhone only.
Other companies online use a similar name, including a hiring tool. They are not us. SnapHire at snaphire.io is only about photographers and videographers.
