SnapHire ("we", "us") is a marketplace that connects clients with professional photographers and videographers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: hello@snaphire.io.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your name, email address, and optional profile photo when you create an account (including via Sign in with Apple or Google).
• Photographer profiles. If you join as a photographer: your display name, bio, location, specialties, rates, and portfolio photos.
• Bookings and messages. Booking details (session type, date, location, price) and messages you exchange through the app.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe; we never see or store it. Photographer payouts are handled by Stripe Connect.
• Device and usage basics. Standard technical information needed to run the service reliably (such as device type and crash data) through Google Firebase.

How we use it

• To run the marketplace: show profiles, process bookings, deliver messages, and process payments.
• To keep the platform safe: prevent fraud and enforce our terms.
• To communicate with you about your account and bookings.

What we share (and don't)

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make SnapHire work:

• Stripe — payment processing and photographer payouts.
• Google Firebase — authentication, database, photo storage, and hosting.

Information that is part of the marketplace itself (a photographer's public profile, portfolio, rates, and reviews) is visible to other users by design.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing hello@snaphire.io from your account email. We will delete it within 30 days, except records we are legally required to keep (such as payment records).

Children

SnapHire is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

Your data is stored with Google Firebase and protected by industry-standard security. Payment credentials are handled exclusively by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update this page and the date above.
